Las Vegas Monorail

Everything YOU need to know before you travel to Las Vegas Nevada.  Las Vegas is BIG, so is the Strip. Downtown Las Vegas is really far from the strip but the Freemont Street Experience is cool and it's neat to see "old" Vegas.  Don’t pick the cheapest hotels… You’ll regret that $25/night rate.
 If you want to be in the “middle” stay around Caesars Palace.  If you like “peace and quiet” pick a non-casino hotel. In the winter it can be really cold and windy!  Bring a jacket Nov-Feb.
 The casinos are always super cold… so bring a light jacket or sweater even in summer. Buffets are great, but just once a day. Twice a day is overdoing it!

Although there is not a FREE tram that runs across the entire Strip, there are 3 FREE ones that can take you pretty far from one end to the other.  1. Mirage/Treasure Island: this tram takes you back and forth from the two hotels. Perfect for Miragers who want to utilize the FREE parking at Treasure Island. Runs every 5 minutes 2. Aria/Bellagio/Park MGM: The Aria Express takes you to and from 3 of the iconic hotels in the center of the Strip. Runs every 7-10 minutes 3. Mandalay/Luxor/Excalibur: The Mandalay Tram takes you through the south end of the strip. There is also an express version that will skip the Luxor and run directly from the Excalibur to Mandalay Bay. Runs ever 3-7 minutes 💰There’s also a PAID Monorail - the Las Vegas Monorail, that covers the Strip. It stops at 7 stations and takes 15 minutes in total. Connects east side Strip hotels to the Convention Center. Best for longer rides like MGM Grand to the Sahara, not useful for all hotels on the Strip.
