Hôtel des Invalides

The Hôtel des Invalides, also referred to as Les Invalides, is a location rich in French military history. It is not only a museum detailing France's military past but also the burial site of Napoleon Bonaparte. The building itself is noted for its stunning golden dome and long, impressive driveway. The complex includes museums and monuments relating to the military history of France, as well as a hospital and a retirement home for war veterans, which was the building's original purpose.
