Beylerbeyi Palace

Beylerbeyi Palace, constructed in 1865, is a neo-Baroque palace used by Ottoman sultans as a summer residence. It has 24 apartments, 6 large halls, and a hammam. The interiors feature crystal chandeliers, grand stairs, and artwork. Visitors can explore freely with a nominal entrance fee. Sultan Abdulhamid II spent his final years imprisoned here and crafted much of the furniture.
